Joao Maria De Souza of Caratinga, Brazil was sleeping with his wife Lena when a cow fell through their corrugated roof and killed him.

How does a cow get onto a roof of a house? In Caratinga the houses are on slopes and the roofs are put against the hillsides for structural support. The problem arises when a grazing cow escapes their grazing areas and step onto these tin roofs.
Lena, Joao's wife said, Joao survived the accident, but died after spending hours unattended in a local hospital. Joao's family, who were with him as he lay unattended at the hospital said he passed away slowly. The hospital denies that Joao was left unattended.
This is the third cow falling through a roof in Caratinga in the last three years, The other two injured in previous cow falling through corrugated roof's survived their injuries.
To honor Joao I have made a small tribute video using online photos of Joao, his broken corrugated roof and his family mourning his loss. I could not find photos of the cow or the hospital and the doctors who left his injuries untreated. Peace
